What is Acronis?

What happens if ransomware hits before a scheduled backup runs?
The built-in anti-ransomware engine actively monitors for encryption behaviour and can block the process and automatically restore any files it managed to touch from its local cache, independent of the backup schedule.
How often do you actually test failover?
On a schedule agreed at onboarding — typically quarterly for critical workloads — using isolated test environments so testing itself never risks production.
Does this replace Microsoft's built-in email protection?
It layers on top of it. Microsoft's native filtering catches known bulk threats; Acronis Email Security adds AI-based detection tuned for the targeted phishing and BEC attempts that get through native filtering.
