Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it — in plain language.

1. Who we are

Techx4u, Inc ("Techx4u", "we", "us") is a managed IT and cybersecurity services provider and part of RDK REVENUE LLC. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

You can reach us about any privacy matter at info@techx4u.com.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and to operate the site securely.

  • Information you give us: name, email address, company, phone number and the content of your message when you submit the contact form.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser user-agent and request timestamps, recorded transiently for security purposes such as rate limiting and abuse prevention.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers or behavioural profiling on this website.

3. Why we process it

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or quotation you requested (legitimate interest, and your consent where given).
  • To deliver services under a contract where you are a client (contractual necessity).
  • To protect this website against abuse, spam and attack (legitimate interest).
  • To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations (legal obligation).

4. How long we keep it

Enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, after which it is deleted unless you have become a client. Client records are retained for the duration of the contract plus the period required by applicable tax and legal obligations. Security logs containing IP addresses are retained for a short period only, typically no more than 30 days.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising purposes. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract:

  • Our hosting provider, which processes request data in order to serve the website.
  • Our transactional email provider, which delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
  • Our bot-protection provider, where enabled, which assesses whether a submission is automated.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where we are legally required to disclose.

6. International transfers

We operate across the United States, Sri Lanka and India, so your data may be processed in any of those locations. Where data is transferred outside its country of origin, we rely on appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses with our processors.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your data where we have no continuing lawful basis to keep it.
  • Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we relied on.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. How to exercise your rights

Email info@techx4u.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before disclosing personal data, which protects you as much as us.

9. Cookies

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookies present are strictly necessary for the site to function or to protect it from automated abuse. We do not require a consent banner because we do not perform non-essential tracking.

10. Security

This site enforces HTTPS with HSTS, a strict Content Security Policy, and a range of hardening headers. Form submissions are rate-limited and validated server-side. Access to enquiry data is restricted to staff who need it. If you believe you have found a security issue, please see our responsible disclosure policy at /security.

11. Children

This website and our services are directed at businesses, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
